Boris Nieslony coils on the floor, naked, holding on to a rock. Observed by an intrigued audience, their look stays fixed on a body that seems progressively burdened by the strain. For 40 years, the performance artist and curator has tested creative, physical, and sometimes mental limits – and conquers them temporarily. In the spirit of Artaud, the body turns into the actual site of articulation. Nieslony expresses the motives and implementations of his work in film less radically: verbally, in conversation.
