Carola Dertnig’s film about the democratic Summerhill School in Suffolk is concerned with the challenges of adolescents, with their right to have a say and to be taken seriously. Using the machete of performative wile, Dertnig treks through the contemporary jungle of educational models and with humor and verve investigates the relationship between children and adults.
