Time lies sprawled over empty spaces. Airplanes stand motionless; caution tape blows in the wind on streets free of cars. The images are of a familiar outland, carefully documenting the state of crisis after the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in Austria. In the tension between movement and stillness, everyday life and exception, Stillstand becomes a contemporary document that poses the inevitable question of what remains from what was experienced.
