With reference to war economy, Georg Wasner enacts an interdependent image of industry, the path of the bullet from production through to the trenches. Historical film material from the Poldihütte steelworks and from British and national socialist war propaganda is mounted opposite the pacifist Norman Angell’s text “Europe’s Optical Illusion” (1909) in which the author postulates the economic senselessness of war.
