Twelve-year-old Juana seems idiosyncratically lost. Unsure and maladjusted, she is looking for her place in a world that doesn’t seem able to bear any deviation. Whereas she shares few interests with her classmates, a lot of adults react with incomprehension in light of her lack of success at school. Juana becomes ever more jealous of all who find it easier to integrate out there. An enchantingly photographed snapshot of the transitory state of coming-of-age.
