A family holiday composed of 17 scenes. Both personal and political matters are intertwined in seemingly peripheral observations. In between there are miniature figures strung alongside the siblings – films within the film. Though as Kurdwin Ayub says: “It’s really just a family holiday.” It’s no small wonder then that a close-knit family can occasionally threaten to stifle itself.
