On the way to pleasure—in her film FAHREN, Veronika Barnaš accompanies two families of carnival workers and sees mainly one thing: movement. On long journeys they talk of the precarious business at Austria’s funfairs and experiences in the Middle East. Whether as an extended family or well-rehearsed two-person operation—the everyday life of the temporary spectacle happens on the road.
