Otobüs / Der Bus

A rickety bus full of Turkish migrant workers arrives in Stockholm from Germany. The trafficker collects the money and passports and leaves. The bus has parked in the middle of the city on a large, busy square. Bay Okan stages the encounter with a foreign world as a surreal comedy, in which nightmarish elements repeatedly push through. He takes up clichés of Scandinavia as a realm of sexual freedom as well as the cold surfaces of the world of commodities. A prophetic (semi-silent) film.
