Tendencies to Exist

Lisl Ponger’s travel images, which are as fleeting as they are intoxicating, reveal a fascination with the world and the film material. The silent images of drumming women and fire-breathing men slip into the abstract and then back again into the real. Everything appears as though found by chance and yet organically interwoven. Rhythmically repeating pictorial motifs make tangible what it can mean to live and to behold.
