At the traditional celebration in a Tyrolean bar, people whisper, dance, flirt, and smooch. But the apparent lightheartedness is abruptly halted: through a queer-feminist appropriation, Oh Katharina subverts the kitschy backdrop of the “Heimatfilm” genre.
