Restoration

More than a decade after a violent experience, Sabrina's system rebels. Non-epileptic seizures and post-traumatic symptoms rob her of her freedom and mobility. Her father, who owns a car repair shop in Detroit, and her husband form a protective cocoon around the young woman, but questions of guilt surrounding her illness remain. Gudrun Gruber accompanies the family members in their everyday lives: as they reflect on the past and attempt to restore a shattered self.
