Everyone has preconceived notions about prostitution. Mostly informed by stereotypes, often by a false sense of morality. Whores’ Glory gives prostitutes in Thailand, Mexico and Bangladesh a voice, depicting their daily lives, hopes, needs and experiences. In the stories and lives presented, an artificial world emerges that is constructed out of sheer necessity, a world somewhere between beauty and misery. One sees only fragments, fleeting images of a profession, which for many women is much more; it is life – or survival.
