Video recordings of animals – the twitching of their muscles, the flapping of their wings, their expressions of fear and menace – become a pulsating flow in Michaela Grill’s digital work, and appear to be heading toward an uncertain escalation. The animal and film world subject each other to a skeptical examination, culminating in the call of the proud Waldrapp: “Hu-uru.”
