Sola is lonely, in the extreme sense of the word: utterly alone. A harsh silence has descended over the usually bustling streets of Vienna – having become an urban wasteland, soulless and inhospitable. In a cinematic robinsonade, a young woman wanders through an estranged land like she’s stranded in space and time, the brutality of intractable silence conveying a type of dystopia.
