A clash of time concepts: Thousands of photos of a perceived standstill suspend the landscape and people in tableaux vivant-like, looped motion. Towering in the background is the mountain, an oversized metaphor for survival, to which the protagonists in their photographic poses seem equally exposed. Silence in motion, crippled vitality; in limbo between film and photography, time is indefinite.
