Nine films, representative of the Austrian Film Museum, offer outward and inward perspectives under the theme of “Austrian cinema”, and challenge the notion of national cinematography. It offers a vision of cinema as a transit country – such as through the facial expressions of expatriates, amateur filmmakers and travelers – and teems with both real and cinematic depictions of longing and escape.
