White noise, vague silhouettes, accusing looks. Who’s watching whom? Are we watching the film and the mysterious characters, or are they watching us, or both? The images lack clarity, but yet they tell a story, suggest a thrill, accompanied by a similarly thrilling, humming soundtrack. “Follow Me” says the sign on what appears to be a police car – and we follow, pulled ever deeper into the undertow, until we can no longer see. Or, until we transform our way of seeing.
