An archaic bronze foundry in the heart of Tirana, Albania. Sixty-year-old bronze specialist Vladimir Metani has earned his living for more than forty-seven years as a founder. Monumenti revolves around work on a monument under construction for the celebration of the one-hundredth anniversary of Albania’s independence; at the same time it tells Vladimir’s story—a story of life in a dictatorship, of restrictions, freedom and art, of family, identity, and home.
