Fifty film fragments of the same action – an actress engaged in the simple act of lighting someone’s cigarette. The camera moves in spirals, towards the centre of the event in an almost orgiastic ceremony. Then comes a new approach to the editing. The fifty first frames, followed by fifty second frames, and so on ... You are left with the sense of a film, never shot in this form, a film which is not temporally but spatially ordered.
