This first part of the trilogy alludes to Kubrick’s famed masterpiece, and displays the same type of black satire on the verge of the farcical. However, Avi Mograbi essentially tries to probe his increasing attraction towards a man he used to abhor, to unearth the dubious seduction of power and the mysteries of charisma.
