A machine which can be used to stop time – taking the seeming stillness of photographic film as her point of departure, Olga Neuwirth plays with slowed-down and sped-up time. Ultimately images and sound both begin to race, until they are caught in an audiovisual time warp. A study of the “disenchanted” time of experience and the contrast between movement and lifelessness.
