Erwin Wagenhofer’s road movie follows truck driver Don Pedro as he smuggles people from Morocco to Europe. A young woman with a child refuses to take her seat in the hide-away and the entire routine gets out of control. The passenger reveals to the businessman the far-reaching consequences of his actions. With the beautifully filmed landscape of Andalusia as a backdrop, a complicated journey runs its course.
