Teresa is an overweight, single mother in her mid-fifties. Her longing for physical intimacy and true love take her to Kenya. The natives there tend to flock to the European “sugar mamas,” regardless of their looks. Teresa enjoys herself; at first naive and brazen, she soon turns bitter and demanding, and finds herself disillusioned time and again; she uses and gets used in turn. It has very little to do with love, and is not at all how one imagines paradise would be.
