Varanasi, Hindu holy place on the Ganges. As silent observer, the camera melds into the cycle of daily life and peers behind the settings of a vibrant city, documenting its bustling everyday life in fragmentary episodes. In doing so, the set pieces come together as a portrait of an urban kaleidoscope in which the circular flow of life and death is omnipresent. An approach to a little known microcosm via small, poetic stories.
