Viennese born Leo Bretholz is a ‘survivor celebrity’. Everybody in Baltimore knows his escape from transport 42 to Auschwitz. Since 1962 he has been telling his story in Baltimore’s schools. With his charm he wins the teenagers over, touching them with his personal account, yet also confronting them with his uncompromising views.
