Ascan Breuer escorts his wife Ariane to Tehran, back to the town where her family lived before the Islamic Revolution. The film starts off as a geographic search for traces and turns into an introspective examination in the midst of a contradictory metropolis. In reality it is more like an orientation, Ariane wonders, “Do I also have to think they are all crazy?” The eponymous finding of what’s lost remains uncertain, but we know the search is not over yet.
