The successful author Max Kohn is charming, cultivated and urbane. It is no wonder that women love him. He will soon be celebrating his 80th birthday but this doesn't seem to be an end to his thirst for adventure, which is causing his long-time life partner, Reisel, increasing concern. Although it's not quite clear if Max's wonderful, crazy affairs are real or all in his vivid imagination.
