An odd film noir with Gunther Philipp as “first action hero,” while the cinema dreams about finally solving a spectacular case. A simple embezzlement in a chemical factory becomes a major acid test for aspiring detective Jelinek. Soon, the first murder has happened, and all employees are suspect, first and foremost Curd Jürgens as head chemist.
