Jochen lives alone in southern Toscana, eats steak from out of the pan and likes to have a sip of wine from a Tetra Pak with his cigarette. While doing so, he begins to talk—about wild times, about life outside of the middle class. However, the film remains ambiguous, neither succumbing to nostalgia nor drawing a picture of a wasted life.
