In LUZIFER, Peter Brunner uses powerful visual language to show the ancient battle between tradition and modernity’s most extreme ramifications. A devout mother lives in a remote mountain hut with her adult son who has remained a child. When the abysmal idyll is plagued by the region’s touristic development, disaster takes its course. The film’s eponymous devil awakens and from then on, seems to reveal himself in everyone.
