What is political action? Because Helene, a judge, wants to actually do something, and not just talk, she helps her ex-boyfriend Pavel flee from Russia. However, Pavel and his family’s arrival in Austria leads to private rather than political resistance and unanticipated confrontations within the mesh of relationships. Johanna Moder mercilessly exposes the narcissistic attitude of supposedly concerned urbanites as a cynical farce when it really comes down to helping others.
