When a death certificate surfaces confirming Beschinsky’s death in Tyrol in 1987, his grandson, the Israeli filmmaker Yair Lev, sets off to trace his trail to Austria. Were there two Ernst Beschinskys? Did the one surreptitiously take on the identity of the other after World War II? A documentary that is equally captivating and touching, full of baffling twists.
