Softly shrouded in a blanket of snow, a country village hibernates in the frigid winter. Apart from the rustling of
 the wind, all ambient sounds seem to be swallowed by the lush white snow. Without commentary, Clara Stern creates a snapshot of this suspended environment – a state of being divested of purpose and the resulting lives obliged to adapt. Winter: silent, cold, and poetically ravishing.
