On the eternal recurrence of the same: the roundabout as a non-place. Johann Lurf tours and films 100 or so roundabouts on a Vespa, giving the viewer a taste of the tedium of circular traffic. Like an archaeologist he catalogs his findings and highlights a few interesting patterns: grotesque floral arrangements, sculptures, decorative fountains – tasteless geographical displays, which continue to fail the common good. A cinematic testament to the monotony of urban architecture.
