Submissions for the Diagonale ’26 film competition are open from
September 1 until November 26, 2025.

Based on the submission criteria, films by Austrian filmmakers or filmmakers living in Austria as well as films with an Austrian production background can be submitted online.

If a film is successfully registered by November 26, 2025, viewing material can be submitted until December 1.

Participation in the Festival of Austrian Film will be confirmed or cancelled one month before the start of the festival.
