Four people living on the margins of society in a residential complex in Saxony-Anhalt. The camera keeps almost no distance, throwing itself into the protagonists’ faces and open mouths from immediate proximity, and discovers their loneliness, fears, and a pervasive sense of being lost. Through their uncompromising intimacy, Kolbe and Wright unfold a fragmentary neighborhood portrait that refrains from the usual clichés of social categorization.
