Is it permissible to engage in dialogue with a self-professed right-wing extremist and AfD mastermind? Filmmaker Gregor Centner believes it is —and embarks on a polarizing project. For six years, he engages in dialogue with the author, publicist, and New Right activist Götz Kutischek, meets him, and films the process. Meeting Götz is Centner’s personal documentary and tightrope walk in which viewers come uncomfortably close to a protagonist who appears harmless yet has a right-wing thought factory churning in his mind.
