The Diagonale, as a festival of Austrian cinema, stands for transparency, openness, inclusion, and tolerance. The festival is committed to ensuring a respectful and inclusive environment for all participants in all Diagonale spaces and to fostering interactions characterized by appreciation, sensitivity, and mutual respect. The Diagonale rejects all forms of discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, religion, origin, skin color, religious beliefs, sexuality, gender identity, socio-economic class, caste, disability, or age, and does not tolerate offensive language, abuse, exclusion, or insulting behavior. Furthermore, the Diagonale does not tolerate any form of physical or verbal harassment towards visitors, staff, and partners. This includes inappropriate comments, racist, antisemitic or sexist insults, harassment, intimidation, unwanted physical contact, and physical violence.<\/p>\n
This Code of Conduct applies to all festival visitors at all Diagonale venues, as well as, in an extended form, to those who work at the Diagonale, including permanent and\/or temporary staff, independent contractors, volunteers, interns, and partners. In case of a violation of the Code of Conduct, Diagonale reserves the right to refuse access to the festival.<\/p>\n
This Code of Conduct is a living document that is continuously evolving and being adapted to societal changes. We are aware that we are not immune to making mistakes, but we are determined to grow as an organization. The festival is supported by the Awareness-Team from awaGraz. awaGraz is present at the Diagonale parties in the Helmut List Hall and in the Forum Stadtpark and supports visitors and artists in case of experienced or witnessed discrimination. In addition, the awareness team will be available during the festival on +43 650 815 0317 from 2pm to 8pm and awareness@diagonale.at around the clock. More information at awagraz.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n
The service is available to anyone who observes, experiences, or is affected by discrimination during the Diagonale. The goal of the Diagonale is to create an environment for all festival participants in which respectful and equal interactions can take place.<\/p>\n
