Ever since he made a car his home, Marc, an African American, has lived on the border between private and public space in New York. Maria Petschnig’s Uncomfortably Comfortable takes this precarious scenario as a starting point. In doing so, the film not only offers insight into Marc’s life, but also documents the relationship between two people who, though coming from vastly different backgrounds, give a collaboration a try and turn it into a thought-provoking film.
