For many, the Alterlaa residential park remains the manifestation of a residential utopia. The filmmaker grew up in the buildings known as the “Glück(s’)bau” in a play on the architect’s lastname. Unable to truly separate herself from the Alterlaa utopia, she returns as a visitor—in search of the dreams that she left behind. In the stories of the residents, she traces her own memories and thus creates a playful portrait of the here and now.
