Making films, processing heartache and more, encountering a foreign country—Josephine Ahnelt weaves these three things in her film Winter Bees, which is comprised mainly of black-and-white analogue film images that flash up between thirteen formations of comic-like drawings: every image feels like a piece of renewal of the senses and testifies to a gaze that sees or will see beauty again.
