In Spring 2020, director Cristina Yurena Zerr and her partner Jakob visit his hometown, Jabing, a village of seven-hundred people in Burgenland. Days become months and Zerr decides to further weave the threads picked up regarding Grandmother Fannie, the continuing pandemic, and Jakob’s commitment to the marine rescue ship Sea-Watch 4. In the small village, the contradictions of the big world gradually reveal themselves.
