A villa with a garden, the chirping of birds. Suddenly a voice from off screen directs a performance. In a nine-minute take, Sehr gepflegt und gut gelegen destroys the illusion of an image that we do not get to see—a shifting of the frame, which focuses the gaze on the staging and in a satirical way, demonstrates the dilemma of middle-class existence.
