„Pitoti Prometheus“ is a VR 360 film aimed to be the film with the longest production time in history. The artwork was created over 2000 years ago, the post-production this summer. Stereoscopic VR 360 combines 3D scans, Motion-Capture, Performance Capture and computer animation to allow the prehistoric rock art of Valcamonica to tell its own story, literally animating 3000 years of life in an Alpine valley. Prometheus was the mythic founder of VR bringing the fire from the gods to enlighten the human civilisation through enabling research and technology to flourish in this new artificial light. The film uses a dramatic fragment from Goethe, to show how Prometheus liberated humankind from the rocks, to move free again, in all dimensions.
