Sasha Pirker, architecture and film. An old story and yet always new, never the same. The Viennese filmmaker dedicates Once at Miracle Mile to the Pearl M. Mackey Apartment Building by the architect Rudolph M. Schindler. It does not limit itself to being a simple documentary – the view is constantly moving, with parallel pan shots and a kind of stylistic revival for the dissolve. Just as if you were there yourself, the camera forces you on a visual stroll. A building, a fairy-tale declaration of love ... once upon a time.
