Inspired by a baroque painting, Benjamin Hassmann re-stages “The Rape of Lucretia” in a film studio. The protagonist is a frame within whose borders the individual dramaturgical components of the image are reconstructed step-by-step; A re-enactment as reflection on the possibilities of image construction, narrative structure, and finally, the form of film.
