A woman stands before a heap of laundry, trapped in a cinematically paced humdrum of daily life. With a movie slate, Sasha Pirker marks and directs the progress of an ironing scene, delivered by the artist Birgit Baldasti in a stoic deadpan. Only after the chore is done does the insanity of repetition burst into an equally absurd laughing fit in the style of a supervillain – out of deadpan comes livepan.
