“All of the storylines culminate in the night, whereby night is more of a mental state than the time of day,” says Hans Scheugl about his modern classic from 1986, which can be seen here in a newly edited version. In his night story, Scheugl weaves together several narrative strands are only seemingly unrelated: two women discuss their crisis, workers in a pub, psychiatric patients portray their inner state. An essayistic montage experiment created in collaboration with Elfriede Jelinek.
