Kathi, an inmate, is on a day release for her three-year-old son’s birthday. He is entirely neglected, living with her overwhelmed mother. Kathi spontaneously sets off with her son to find him an appropriate home. Without becoming sentimental, the film tells of a harrowing decision. The eternal prison is not made of concrete.
