A group of millionaires survive the global financial crisis practically unscathed and spend their holidays in a luxury hotel in India. Accompanying her aunt, Else too is afforded access into the elite society. In order to protect her father from arrest for financial misconduct, she must ask a family friend for a loan. This friend, however, makes an indecent proposal in return. Anna Martinetz creates a modern adaptation of Arthur Schnitzler’s 1924 novella – Fräulein Else strikes a balance between cinematic experiment and faithfulness to the original. www.else-film.com
